Yagi-Shingu Line (Japan's longest route bus) ① (Updated October 2019)
Hello
Today we will be introducing Japan's longest route bus. (Updated 2019/8) Route name: Yagi-Shingu LineThis route bus has a total length of 166.9km and has 167 stops, making it the bus with the longest mileage in Japan on routes that do not use expressways.
The number of route buses is 3 per day from 9:00, 11:00 and 13:00 (departing from Yagi), and the last bus from Shingu runs much earlier than 9:00.
The stations along the way include Totsukawa Village and the World Heritage Site of Kuma no Kodo, which are used by many tourists and pilgrims.
In terms of time, it takes 6 hours and 30 minutes from Yamato Yagi Station, the starting point, to Shingu, the final stop, and the fare may seem a little high at 5,250 yen, but it is a long journey that takes more than 6 hours. I feel that the price is reasonable compared to bus tourism.
