Not just shabu-shabu! Kin no Ton's exquisite dishes (Updated February 2020)

 Good morning,

Today, I’d like to introduce you to a restaurant called Kinnobuta.

This is the second article about this restaurant on this site.

Although the seating isn’t in private rooms, the tables are well-separated, providing enough space to enjoy your meal without worrying about those around you. The staff seems well-trained, offering excellent service. The young employees were particularly polite, leaving a very positive impression!

When you think of Kinnobuta, the image of all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu usually comes to mind, but their other dishes are also outstanding.

Dish Name: Japanese-Style Potato Salad with Prosciutto, Black Beans, and Kinako

Dish Name: Kamameshi with Ginger-Scented Mackerel and Mushrooms

The kamameshi, infused with the rich flavor of mackerel, was incredibly satisfying. However, because the rice absorbs so much flavor, the dish might feel a bit lacking if eaten on its own, so be sure to mix it well before enjoying!

Dish Name: Seared Yellowtail Carpaccio with Aromatic Vegetables (Wasabi Dressing)

The seared yellowtail was fresh and paired perfectly with the wasabi dressing.

For the shabu-shabu, you can choose two types of broth:

  • Seafood Miso Broth
  • Duck and Plum Broth
  • Soy Milk White Soup
  • Aromatic Yuzu Salt Broth
  • Beauty Tonkotsu Broth
  • Sukiyaki-Style Broth
  • Rishiri Kelp Broth
  • Sichuan Spicy Broth

This time, I chose the Beauty Tonkotsu Broth and Soy Milk White Soup.

The "Beauty Tonkotsu Broth" was a first for me, and I wonder if it made my skin a bit more supple! Personally, though, I preferred the Soy Milk White Soup...

I really love this restaurant, but there is one downside: I can never manage to try everything on the menu. Every time, I get too full and have to stop. So, I recommend planning ahead and deciding which dishes you want to try before you go. As I mentioned earlier, considering the quality, the prices aren’t too high, so even if you split your visits, you’ll still get your money’s worth.

Restaurant Name: Kinnobuta (Esaka Branch)

Address: 1-39 Enokicho, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, SERE Esaka 2F

Dish Name: All-You-Can-Eat Wabuta Mochibuta Course

Price: 3,280 yen
