Authentic Thai Cuisine in Umeda’s Trendy Spot – Mango Tree Kitchen Khao Man Gai (Updated June 2020)
Good morning!
Today, I’m introducing a Thai restaurant.
Restaurant Name: Mango Tree Kitchen Khao Man Gai
Location: B1F, 4-1 Ōfukachō, Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan
Dish Ordered
Khao Man Gai Tod & Gapao Gai & Green Curry (with Small Bamee Gai)
Price: 1,500 yen
The Gapao Rice was absolutely amazing! It paired exceptionally well with the black vinegar soy sauce.
The Green Curry had its spiciness well-controlled, making it easy for me, a Japanese diner, to enjoy. (Authentic Thai curries tend to have a lot of spices and a unique taste, but I was impressed by how well this restaurant had adapted the flavors for a broader audience while maintaining authenticity.)
That being said, the taste remained true to traditional Thai flavors, making this a must-try spot for those planning a trip to Southeast Asia.
Overall, the dish felt incredibly healthy. The red meat sauce and black vinegar sauce complemented the meal perfectly, offering a dynamic range of flavors.
Atmosphere & Service
As you can see in the photos, the restaurant beautifully captures the essence of Thailand while fitting seamlessly into the stylish Grand Front Osaka. Many of the staff members are Thai, and their professional training was evident in the excellent service. The welcoming atmosphere allowed me to enjoy a truly pleasant and exotic dining experience.
If you’re in Umeda and craving authentic Thai cuisine, Mango Tree Kitchen Khao Man Gai is a fantastic choice!
