Climbing Twin Peaks, a famous spot in San Francisco (Updated September 2017)
Good morning!
Today, I'm at Twin Peaks, located in the heart of San Francisco.
(This update is from September 2017.)
It's a small hill, but not very high in elevation.
I was able to take a bus up to the area near the houses shown in the photo on the right, so the hike was only about 14 or 15 minutes.
However, the temperature difference was intense!
San Francisco itself was cool—around 15°C (59°F) in mid-August, and I was wearing a jacket.
But up here at Twin Peaks, it felt about 10 degrees colder!
Also, as you'd expect, since there's nothing to block the wind, it was incredibly windy.
(I heard that winds from the North Pacific blow directly over this area…?)
The photo on the right was taken near the top, looking north toward downtown San Francisco.
The Golden Gate Bridge should be in the upper left direction, I think...?
The Ferry Terminal I posted the other day is in the upper right.
The photo on the left shows the cityscape at dusk, with a beautiful night view seen from Twin Peaks!!
I was pretty moved, but I might not have captured it very well...
I wish I had a better iPhone~~~ (lol)
