Famous Chocolate Shop in San Francisco: Ghirardelli Square (Updated in September 2017)
Hello,
Today, I'm introducing Ghirardelli Square.
(Updated in September 2017)
Since it’s directly accessible by cable car from San Francisco, the place was packed with people!
The Famous Hill Leading to Fisherman’s Wharf
This is the hill as seen from Fisherman’s Wharf, the final destination.
It felt like a 45-degree incline! (Haha)
The Store’s Exterior
Several chocolate specialty shops are clustered here.
It's located right near the waterfront of Fisherman’s Wharf, which I introduced in my previous post.
View of the Beach from the Store
From the store, you can see a distant island—that's Alcatraz Island,
(formerly a prison island).
Although it looks close to the city, strong ocean currents make it nearly impossible to swim across.
Hot Fudge Sundae
I had a hot fudge sundae here.
The sweetness is on another level compared to Japan—my wife was thrilled!
Plus, they were giving out free chocolate samples at the store entrance,
which we enjoyed thoroughly! 😋
